Notice 11-15-2024 : Chester County Commissioners declared a ban on open burning for all residents and businesses in Chester County, which will take effect at 5pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

AJ Blosenski is the Township's contracted hauler; however, the Township bills for the service.  Currently, the trash and recycling bill is $295.00, which is an annual bill and mailed on January 1 of each year.

Trash, Recycling, & Bulk items are to be placed at the curb by 5:00 a.m. each Thursday (unless on holiday schedule).

Solid Waste & Recycling pickup allows for:

  • Solid Waste– Three 33-gallon cans/bags or two 50 gallon cans (not to exceed a total of 100 gallons). 
  • One bulk item (not to exceed 70 pounds)
    • Mattress or Box-Spring (requires prepayment of $25 before noon the day before the pickup) Bring exact cash or check to the Township or pay online & select "trash"
    • Appliances that contain Freon - A certified technician must remove Freon and tag the appliance. Freon Removal Service Providers
    • Doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers.
    • Rugs must be bundled and tied and not exceed three (3 ft) feet in length.
    • Mowers or other engines must have gas and/or oils removed.
    • Bulk items are permitted to be placed out on any given trash collection day throughout the year.

*Recycling of the mandatory items will be strictly enforced. Recycled items are to be put into the recycling toter (supplied by the Township) and not mixed with your trash. Failure to comply will result in the trash hauler not picking up trash that has recyclables included in it and not in a separate recycle container.

**Yard waste, tires, and construction debris will not be collected. Tires may be taken to the Township garage for a fee during normal business hours. All trash and recyclable materials are to be placed at the curb by 5:00 a.m. (please do not place solid waste and recyclables out more than twenty-four hours in advance of trash pick-up).
